Failing Forward
I am so excited about this sermon series called, “Failing Forward,” and we're going to be spending the next couple of months in the Gospel of Mark. One of Mark's significant themes is looking at how the 12 Apostles are ... well, knuckleheads. It's interesting, because most scholars think the apostle Peter is Mark’s main source of information for writing his Gospel. Over and over again in Mark, he shows how the Twelve just don't get it; and yet, these twelve men are those who Jesus used to change the world! That gives me hope for myself! It’s my prayer that it's going to do the same for you. I know you're going to get so much out of this next series as we think about how Jesus has been redeeming shenanigans and tomfoolery since AD 30. Be sure to be here and invite a friend!
